Deputy Secretary of State for Management and Resources Richard R. Verma arrived in Albania today.

The senior official was welcomed at Rinas airport by officials of the American embassy in Tirana.

In a reaction on his social network, Verma writes:

“I arrived in Albania! Excited to be here and start this journey. The landscape is breathtaking and I look forward to working with our partners.”

He is also expected to travel for an official visit to Kosovo and Serbia during his Balkan tour which is expected to last until January 11.
