The Italian ambassador to Albania, Fabrizio Bucci, has commented on the political situation in the country, describing it as conflictual. During an activity in Gjirokastra, Bucci called on the political forces to present clear and concrete electoral programs, which will improve the lives of citizens, as the next parliamentary elections are getting closer.

“The political situation in Albania continues to be conflictual. We will have the elections in a few months and I hope that this will be an electoral campaign based on facts, because I believe that Albanian voters should understand what the programs of the parties are and what they will do to improve the lives of citizens. The voters will judge the programs, and they must understand what the policy will do here,” declared Ambassador Bucci.

At the end of his mandate as Ambassador to Albania, Bucci was awarded by the Municipality of Gjirokastra with the title of “Honorary Citizen”, for his contribution to strengthening relations between the two countries. He will be appointed as Italian Ambassador to Germany, continuing his diplomatic career.
