Businesses in the country are seeking manual laborers in construction, plumbers, welders, carpenters, furniture makers, salespeople, and other professions. On the online platform of the National Employment Agency, they have posted a total of 5400 job vacancies.

During the winter season, the highest demand comes from the manufacturing industry, construction, and information technology, with Tirana, Durrës, and Shkodra—cities with the most businesses—leading in the number of available positions.

Last year, the National Agency facilitated the employment of approximately 25,000 job seekers out of the 70,000 registered in the system.

This figure, considering that businesses struggle with labor shortages, highlights the mismatch between supply and demand in the job market, primarily due to wages and working conditions.

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister has also encouraged registration on the employment portal, inviting Albanian emigrants to create new opportunities in their home country.
