The show “Max Sport” has learned exclusively that in the UEFA Executive Committee meeting, set to take place this Tuesday, the Albanian Football Federation (FSHF) is expected to receive the green light to co-host Euro 2027 alongside Serbia.

Since Albania does not meet the required number of stadiums needed to host all matches of the U21 European Championship, FSHF will collaborate with the Serbian Football Federation to jointly organize the final stage of Euro 2027 for the U21 category.

Albania and Serbia have submitted a joint bid to host this tournament, competing against Belgium and Turkey.

The organization of this event has sparked strong reactions, particularly in Kosovo. However, FSHF believes that football unites people and that this championship will have a positive impact on the region.

If UEFA’s Committee approves Albania’s candidacy, it would be an extraordinary achievement for the country in footballing terms.

For one month, Albania would be at the center of football attention across Europe, gaining significant exposure.

The European Championship will be broadcast in 212 countries worldwide, making it a fantastic promotional opportunity for Albania.

In recent years, FSHF has successfully organized several major competitions, most notably the first-ever UEFA Conference League Final between Roma and Feyenoord on May 22, 2022.

Beyond football, hosting this tournament would bring significant improvements to sports infrastructure, as four stadiums and eight training fields would be renovated for the competition. Once the European Championship concludes, these facilities will remain available for local teams and academies in Albania.

Moreover, the economic benefits would be substantial, as hotels, bars, and restaurants would experience increased financial gains throughout the duration of the tournament.
