The weekend in Saranda brought warm and sunny weather. Many foreign tourists visited the coastal city, signaling a promising start for the tourist season. They describe Saranda as a fantastic place and express their desire to return for a seaside vacation.
Although the tourist season has not officially begun, mid-March has found Saranda welcoming foreign visitors eager to enjoy the first rays of sunshine.
Lili, a tourist from Australia, traveled to visit the coastal city. She says that her passion for photography, the peaceful atmosphere, and the delicious food make Saranda the perfect destination.
“I came to Saranda at this time because I usually travel outside of peak seasons, and during this period, it is quiet, the city is peaceful, and I go for walks almost every day. The weather is warm, and the sunsets are amazing—I have taken thousands of photos. I think it’s a wonderful time to visit Saranda, even though it’s not summer. I love many things here—the promenade, the delicious food—I’ve tried so many dishes.”
This year, Saranda has again received positive signals from Polish tourists, who have formed a significant portion of the visitor presence in recent years.
David, a young Polish traveler who has previously visited Albania, has returned this time with his friends.
“I’m David from Poland, and we came here with friends because it’s very cold in Poland right now. We wanted to catch some sun here in Albania. This is my second time here—I was in Durrës three years ago. What I like the most is definitely the weather, but also the atmosphere and the friendly people here.”
“I’m Mateusz, and this is my first time here. What I love most is the warm weather, and of course, Albania has very beautiful girls. I’m sure I’ll come back because this is such a beautiful place.”
During spring, foreign tourists enjoy the tranquility and lower prices that Saranda offers. Meanwhile, the tourism industry, benefiting from early bookings and the presence of young travelers, has received a boost for a promising summer season.
