Supporters of the Serbian football club Crvena Zvezda, known as the “Delije”, have burned the flag of Kosovo in front of the venue where the UEFA Congress is being held in Belgrade.
According to KosovaPress, the incident took place near the UEFA offices, where the congress is taking place, just one day after the President of the Football Federation of Kosovo (Agim Ademi) was seen near the Kosovo flag, which was displayed alongside the flags of other participating nations.
On Thursday morning, the Football Federation of Serbia issued an official statement, announcing that it had taken steps to remove Kosovo’s symbols from the congress venue.
A video circulating on social media shows a small group of young individuals setting the Kosovo flag on fire. So far, there has been no official reaction from the Football Federation of Kosovo regarding the incident.
