During a joint press conference in Luxembourg with Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama and Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski, EU Enlargement Commissioner Marta Kos stated that Albania is closer than ever to joining the European Union.

She emphasized that the goal is to open all chapter clusters this year and close them next year.

“Albania is a success story in the enlargement process. We have taken another step toward EU membership. A lot of work is needed in order to achieve results, and you need to stay motivated. The plan is to open all chapters this year and close them next year. Full membership will bring significant benefits. 2030 — is that okay, Prime Minister? It’s okay,” said Kos.
