Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni has extended her congratulations to Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama for his victory in the May 11 elections.

“I would like to extend my sincere congratulations to Prime Minister Edi Rama on his reappointment as head of the Albanian government. The deep friendship and strategic cooperation that bind our two nations have been further strengthened through joint initiatives—resulting from constructive dialogue and a shared willingness to face global challenges with innovative solutions.

We will continue working to further consolidate the ties between our two governments and to achieve common goals, including strengthening stability in the Balkans and advancing Albania’s European path,” Meloni’s message read.
