During her visit to the Federal Palace of Switzerland, President Vjosa Osmani expressed her gratitude for the warm welcome by the Swiss delegation and delivered a message to Albanians living abroad.

She stated that Switzerland supported Kosovo during its most difficult days, demonstrating the true value of solidarity.

“The children of those who once arrived as refugees are now doctors, engineers, artists, and entrepreneurs. Every day, they contribute to the prosperity of their new home,” Osmani said.

She also highlighted the football star Xherdan Shaqiri, noting his key role in both Basel and the Swiss national team.

President Osmani, who is on an official state visit to Switzerland at the invitation of the Swiss Federal Council led by President Karin Keller-Sutter, concluded her remarks with a heartfelt message to the Albanian community living in Switzerland.
