Albania welcomed more visitors this March, marking a 21.9% increase compared to the same month in 2024.

According to the latest data from the Institute of Statistics (INSTAT), non-resident visitors recorded the highest growth, with a 27.3% increase. Additionally, overnight stays in March rose by 30.8%.

Among foreign tourists, Italy accounted for the largest share with 23%, followed by Kosovo with 15%, Germany with 10%, and the United Kingdom and France with 7% and 3% respectively. The remaining 42% of visitors came from other countries.

An interesting trend observed is that the majority of both domestic and foreign visitors preferred non-coastal areas, where hotel occupancy has also increased.

The room occupancy rate in hotels reached 18.4%, up from 17.3% during the same period last year.

Statistical experts view these figures as a reflection of growing inbound tourism from key regional and European markets.
