The Serbian Football Federation has officially announced the stadium where the match between Serbia and Albania will take place on October 11, as part of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
According to the federation’s statement, the match will be held at Crvena Zvezda’s “Rajko Mitić” Stadium in Belgrade.

This venue, the largest stadium in the country with a capacity of 51,755 seats, was built between 1960 and 1963, officially opened on September 1, 1963, and underwent renovation in 2017.
The Serbia–Albania match in 2014—remembered for numerous incidents—was held at the Partizan Stadium in Belgrade. This time, Serbian authorities have selected a more modern venue with greater capacity.

According to the official statement from the Serbian Federation, the choice of stadium followed a detailed analysis, taking into account sporting, organizational, and security aspects, and was made in consultation with UEFA.

Full Statement:

“The qualifying matches of the Serbian national team against England on September 9 and Albania on October 11 will be played at the ‘Rajko Mitić’ Stadium in Belgrade, while the final home match against Latvia will be held at the ‘Dubocica’ Stadium in Leskovac.

After a thorough analysis that included, in addition to sporting and organizational aspects, security elements and consultations with the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA), it was concluded that the ‘Rajko Mitić’ Stadium—as the largest football venue in the country—offers optimal conditions for hosting high-stakes matches for our national team.

The Football Federation of Serbia would like to take this opportunity to thank all fans for their support throughout the Nations League cycle, as well as during the match against Andorra. We invite you to fill the stands of our largest stadium and support the ‘Eagles’ in these crucial qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Mexico, and Canada.

We sincerely hope that in the ‘Dubocica’ Stadium in Leskovac—where coach Stojković and his players feel at home—we will all have many reasons for joy and celebration after the match against Latvia, scheduled for November 16,” the Serbian Football Federation stated.
