The Albanian government has revised its 2025 state budget, reallocating €118 million to meet previously unplanned needs. The funds will be directed primarily toward cybersecurity and agriculture.
The Ministry of Finance has approved a normative act that reallocates unused funds from various ministries and institutions to key sectors such as digital security, agriculture, and infrastructure projects.
Specifically, €56 million will be allocated to the National Agency for Information Society to strengthen cybersecurity infrastructure.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Agriculture will receive €30 million to implement sovereign guarantees for small and medium-sized enterprises and to create conditions that boost agricultural and livestock production.
The remaining funds will be distributed among the Ministries of Defense, Education, and Health for additional planned expenditures.
Despite these changes, the budget deficit remains at €680 million, and the level of public debt is unaffected.
