Albania will host the Ministerial Meeting of the South-East European Cooperation Process (SEECP) on Monday, June 16. The announcement was made by Prime Minister Edi Rama through a post on social media, where he emphasized the importance of this event for Albania’s international standing.
Among other things, the head of government wrote that the country is fully committed to promoting the progress of regional countries toward EU integration.
“Albania, once again at the center of international diplomacy. On June 16, 2025, the Ministerial Meeting of the South-East European Cooperation Process will be held. Our country is fully committed to advancing the progress of the region’s countries toward EU integration,” the Prime Minister wrote on his official Facebook page.
Tirana took over the SEECP Chairmanship for the period July 2024 – June 2025, succeeding Skopje, with Sofia set to assume the next term.
The South-East European Cooperation Process was initiated in 1996 during a meeting of foreign ministers in Sofia, while the first SEECP Summit was held in Crete in 1997.
