The National Civil Protection Agency (AKMC) has issued a warning to citizens, informing that in the coming days, temperatures are expected to reach up to 40 degrees Celsius.

AKMC urges increased caution, especially for high-risk groups such as the elderly and those with health conditions.

Citizens are advised to avoid direct sun exposure during peak hours and to be extremely careful with the use of fire in open areas.

According to the agency, “this situation significantly increases the risk of wildfires in forests and rural zones.”

“In case of fire or smoke detection, citizens should immediately contact the emergency numbers 128 or 112,” the AKMC statement reads.

The agency emphasizes that adherence to preventive measures is vital to protect lives, property, and nature, while community cooperation remains the key to a safe summer season.
