A tragic incident occurred this afternoon on Lake Shkodra. At around 16:32, the Police Operational Room received a report that the captain of a tourist boat, owned by the Municipality of Shkodër, is suspected to have drowned during a rescue operation.

According to preliminary information, the boat captain, 51-year-old Arben Alamani, intervened to save two tourists who had fallen into the water. Fortunately, the tourists were rescued and are in good health.

Immediately after the alert, police units and search-and-rescue teams arrived at the scene and are continuing efforts to locate the body of the 51-year-old captain.
