A serious crime has shocked an Albanian family in Volos, Greece, where a 40-year-old Albanian man killed his 36-year-old wife, also Albanian.

The husband, Pandeli Nakoleci, murdered his wife Marjola and then fled the scene. Police have cordoned off the area and are searching for him.

According to reports, the argument began in their apartment and then continued at the entrance of the building.

It is suspected that the man killed her with a sharp object before leaving the crime scene. Greek media report that the crime happened in front of one of their four children.

According to local media, the 40-year-old was a drug user and had allegedly attempted suicide last June.
