President Bajram Begaj departs today for the United States of America as head of the Albanian delegation at the High-Level Week of the 80th Session of the United Nations General Assembly.
According to a statement from the Presidency, Begaj will participate in the High-Level Week of the 80th Session of the UN General Assembly, which will take place in New York from September 22–27, 2025.
“During this week, the Head of State will deliver his speech at the General Debate of the General Assembly, where he will present Albania’s positions on key issues, including international peace and security, multilateralism, sustainable development, and human rights.
The President’s agenda also includes participation in several important multilateral activities.
The Head of State will also hold bilateral meetings with his counterparts and senior UN representatives.
Additionally, President Begaj’s agenda will feature meetings with representatives of the Albanian diaspora in the United States and visits to schools where diaspora children learn their mother tongue,” the Presidency’s statement reads.
