On Thursday morning, the Territorial Protection Inspectorate (IMT) of Saranda, in cooperation with the Municipal Police, launched a large-scale operation to demolish illegal structures in the city.
This operation is part of the national campaign to free public spaces, a well-known initiative currently being implemented across the country.
The first demolition actions began in Neighborhood No. 4, Kodër area, where fences surrounding several apartment buildings were removed.
Residents and owners of these spaces had previously been warned to remove the structures voluntarily. After the expiration of the set deadline, authorities intervened today with enforcement units and technical equipment to execute the decision.
