Prime Minister Edi Rama has posted on social media footage of the demolition of illegal buildings in the Valbona National Park.
Rama issued a warning to anyone engaging in illegal construction, calling it a “lowly sport,” and stressed that those who continue will lose both money and time, before facing serious consequences.
“The operation against illegality in construction has now extended to Valbona National Park. I tell all those who continue this ‘low sport’ — whether in public spaces, on the coast, or in the mountains — STOP. It’s pointless; you will only waste money and time, and under the government’s latest decisions, you will face severe consequences,” Rama wrote.
