Prime Minister Edi Rama held a closed-door meeting this Friday with the Socialist Party structures of Tirana. During the meeting, electoral zones were allocated according to administrative units.

All ministers, political leaders, and MPs residing in Tirana who are not running in the constituencies they previously covered have been reassigned to Tirana for the elections.

Toni Gogu will oversee the Ndroq area, while Fatmir Xhafaj has been assigned to Unit 10. Blendi Klosi and Eduard Shalsi are making their return to Tirana, but only for the campaign ahead of the November 9 elections. Ulsi Manja will also be engaged in Tirana.

Former Socialist MP Xhemal Qefalia will be in charge of the Dajti area, which he had previously overseen. Meanwhile, Foreign Minister Elisa Spiropali will not be engaged in these early elections in Tirana, as Rama has not assigned her to any area under the newly announced division.

Additionally, Rama officially declared Ogerta Manastirliu as the Socialist Party’s candidate for Tirana’s Municipality in the early elections of November 9. Manastirliu previously served as the political leader of Tirana and as Minister of Education and Health.
