During his report to the Parliament’s Committee on Legal Affairs, Altin Dumani, head of SPAK (the Special Anti-Corruption Structure), emphasized that political statements and attacks against SPAK are encouraging threats toward special prosecutors from organized crime groups.

“Political declarations tend to inspire elements of organized crime. Whenever political attacks increase, we also observe a rise in cases of threats against special prosecutors. We remain detached from political rhetoric,” Dumani stated.

Earlier, Dumani had revealed that SPAK prosecutors have faced serious threats from criminal organizations during investigations aimed at dismantling their structures.
