Prime Minister Edi Rama was in London this Tuesday, where he took part in a discussion roundtable on the Western Balkans and the European Union.

During his speech, Rama spoke about Albania’s objective of joining the EU and the journey the country has followed over the years.

“Europe woke up with a noise and is now not only saying how important it is to include the Western Balkans geopolitically, but is also doing more to accelerate this process. We were there before as well. We worked hard even before, meeting the criteria to start negotiations, which were confirmed three times in a row, yet we were still refused.

Precisely because words and actions were far apart from each other. Now Europe as a whole is moving to achieve the objective of realizing a dream, with new challenges,” said Rama.
