The President of Albania, Bajram Begaj, has welcomed Syria’s decision to recognize the state of Kosovo.

In a social media post, Begaj wrote that the Syrian Arab Republic has officially recognized the independence and sovereignty of the Republic of Kosovo.

“With this decision, Syria has supported the state of Kosovo and the peace and stability in the Balkans. I thank all those who made this recognition possible,” wrote President Begaj.
