The Municipality of Preševo in Serbia has sent a telegram of condolences following the passing of former Prime Minister of Albania, Fatos Nano.

In the official message addressed to the Embassy of Albania in Belgrade, the Mayor of Preševo, Ardita Sinani, expressed on behalf of the citizens and in her own name “the sincerest condolences for the loss of a distinguished political figure who made a valuable contribution to the democratic processes and the strengthening of the institutions of the Albanian state.”

“In these painful moments, we share the sorrow with the Nano family, with his friends, and with the entire Albanian people wherever they are. May his memory and his work be eternal,”

reads the telegram signed by the Mayor of the Municipality of Preševo.
