The European Commissioner for Enlargement, Marta Kos, has praised Albania’s progress on its path toward European Union membership in a post on her social media account.
“Albania has made unprecedented progress. This remarkable result is a clear recognition of Albania’s strong political commitment and the aspirations of its society toward the EU,” Kos wrote on the platform X.
According to her, 2025 has marked a significant year for the EU enlargement process, with countries such as Montenegro, Albania, Ukraine, and Moldova standing out for the progress they have achieved in reforms over the past year.
The Commissioner emphasized that EU candidate countries have set ambitious goals to complete negotiations, adding that next year will be ‘a moment of truth’ for their progress.
