Prime Minister Edi Rama, during his speech at the Euronews Summit, stated that Albania will establish a fully AI-based public procurement system designed to assist government decision-making.

“We may accept support, partnership, and help, but we do not accept lectures from anyone on the fight against corruption,” said Rama.

He emphasized that Albania is combating corruption in a systematic way through modernization. Rama added that Albania is the only country using artificial intelligence to adapt its domestic legislation to the rules of the European Union.

He noted that the country is trying to move forward as much as possible through the integration process. When asked whether he would support the creation of an AI-generated European Commissioner, Rama replied: “It is not my job to tell Brussels what to do.”

“I will be very happy to introduce Diella to anyone who stands on the side of the EU,” he added, referring to the Minister of Artificial Intelligence.
