Prime Minister Edi Rama, during his speech at a meeting with residents of Unit 2 in Tirana, spoke about the increase of pensions and the minimum wage. Rama emphasized that support for pensioners will increase, presenting figures that, according to him, amount to €1.7 billion.

“Finally, we have established what we have long wanted to do, even though it took time. Increasing real support for pensioners, who will actually take up the main share of state financing during this fourth mandate. The additional support for pensions will reach €1.7 billion. Along with the increase, pensions will also be indexed.

The minimum wage applies to both the public and private sectors. It is determined by law. Salaries will be increased for all employees, including in the private sector. All of this will be done without touching or increasing any taxes. We have committed to making Albania the only country where small businesses pay no corporate income tax.

We will take a very meaningful step for entrepreneurs through fiscal peace. There will be stability in revenue collection and growth, which will serve the economy. And investments will increase. The 2026 project reflects, through its entire architecture, what I said: economic growth and stability,” Rama declared.
