Prime Minister Edi Rama has begun public consultations on the citizens’ budget, presenting the new draft budget for Tirana and Albania.

In his remarks, Rama emphasized that one of the main pillars of the budget is “fiscal peace,” a new instrument aimed at easing the burden on businesses and increasing economic stability.

According to the prime minister, fiscal peace will give companies the opportunity to reach direct agreements with the tax administration, transparently defining their obligations for revenue growth and corporate income tax. This, he said, will help avoid unnecessary inspections.

“Fiscal peace is an important step for entrepreneurship. It is part of the new budget project—every company will have the opportunity to reach an agreement with the tax administration to fairly determine revenue growth and agree on profit tax. In this way, they avoid inspections, continue their work without bureaucratic burdens, and the government will be able to maintain stability in revenue collection. This boosts the economy and creates opportunities for increased investment,” Rama declared.
