In the latest episode of his podcast, Prime Minister Edi Rama began by revisiting all the key developments of the past week. One of the main topics addressed was the draft budget for 2026, which includes increases in pensions, salaries in both the public and private sectors, including the nationwide minimum wage.

Rama also focused on the newly introduced project from a few days ago, which foresees OSHEE establishing electric vehicle charging points. He described it as a step toward achieving full energy sovereignty.

“This week, the newest national project for charging electric vehicles was presented—a major step toward the future, a new public service by our distribution company OSHEE, and another step toward cooperation with Albanian citizens to improve quality and accelerate the pace at which Albania advances toward the major objective of energy sovereignty, without burdening citizens but, on the contrary, standing by them as partners in this joint journey.

This specifically means that the OSHEE electric vehicle charging service, ‘OSHEE Charge,’ will be offered at the same price as the electricity rate applied to household consumers in all cases when charging is done in the parking area near the residence. Meanwhile, it will be offered at a regulated and reasonable price at the charging points that OSHEE will build and make accessible to the public,” Rama said.
