Prime Minister Edi Rama will be in Brussels on Monday to participate in the 7th Intergovernmental Conference between Albania and the European Union, where on November 17 the final negotiation cluster for membership will be opened.
Cluster V includes five key areas: Agriculture and Rural Development, Food Safety and Veterinary Policies, Fisheries, Regional Policy and Coordination of Structural Instruments, as well as Financial and Budgetary Provisions.
This chapter aims to modernize agriculture, digitalize the food chain, strengthen food safety, ensure the sustainable management of the fisheries sector, and prepare for more effective participation in regional development policies and alignment with European public finance standards.
After the conclusion of the proceedings, Prime Minister Rama will hold a joint press conference with the EU Commissioner for Enlargement, Marta Kos, and Denmark’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Marie Bjerre.
