A bad result for Albania was the one between Ukraine and Iceland, with the Ukrainians triumphing 2–0 and leaving the Red and Blacks in the third pot of the play-off.

The other match was between Azerbaijan and France, with “Les Bleus” closing the qualifying campaign with a 1–3 victory.
