On social media, a message has begun circulating calling on Slovenians to boycott Albanian bakeries in Slovenia. According to those sharing the message, the boycott comes as a reaction to the behavior of Kosovo Albanians toward the Slovenian national anthem during the match played a few days earlier.
The message has been shared by various individuals, including Jože Petkovšek, a well-known entrepreneur in Slovenia. Along with the message, he also posted photos of Albanian-owned businesses.
“BOYCOTT ALBANIAN BAKERIES! Due to recent events and the behavior of Kosovars toward the Slovenian anthem, I call on all Slovenians to boycott Albanian bakeries!” Petkovšek wrote in his Facebook post.
Commenters on the post appear to support the boycott, with some stating they have already been boycotting for a long time, while others offer ideas for extending the boycott to other Albanian-owned businesses beyond bakeries.
