The Albanian Parliament received EU Enlargement Commissioner Marta Kos to discuss European integration and priorities following the opening of all negotiation chapters.

Kos praised Albania’s progress and the political consensus regarding EU integration, emphasizing that the country’s strong performance makes support straightforward and that enlargement strengthens Europe as a whole.

The Speaker of Parliament highlighted the country’s commitment to integration, calling it a strategic priority and guaranteeing legitimacy, transparency, and the inclusion of the opposition and citizens in the process.

The meeting was also attended by Deputy Speaker Agron Gjekmarkaj and the Chair of the Committee on European Affairs, Igli Hasani, who underscored the opposition’s support and the importance of democratic standards.

The meeting concluded with a commitment to accelerating negotiations and strengthening cooperation with European institutions.
