After the completion of the mandate of the President of the Constitutional Court, Holta Zaçaj, the judicial body convened at the call of the acting chair, Marsida Xhaferllari, to determine the procedures for electing the new head of the institution. During the meeting, it was decided to open the process for the election of the President of the Constitutional Court.

According to the announcement, judges who wish to run must submit a written request within 5 days from the date the decision enters into force. The established deadlines require the election of the new chairperson to be finalized within the month of December.

The Court states that after the application deadline expires, the procedures will continue with the review of the candidacies and with the voting for the appointment of the new President.
