The new head of SPAK, Klodian Braho, will officially assume office on Friday. It has been learned that the handover ceremony from Altin Dumani to Braho will take place on Monday, December 22. The ceremony will be held at 10:00 a.m. in the SPAK Meeting Hall.

The High Prosecutorial Council voted with seven votes in favor of Klodian Braho, who was declared the winner among four candidates. Braho began his mission as a prosecutor in 2007, when after graduating from the School of Magistrates he was appointed to Berat, where he served until 2012.

He was then transferred to Vlorë until 2015, where he also held the position of deputy head of the prosecution office. Confirmed in office through the vetting process, Braho until yesterday headed the anti-corruption section at SPAK.

He has investigated several high-profile cases, including those against former Prosecutor General Adriatik Llalla, the incinerators case, the 5D case, former Minister of Defense Fatmir Mediu regarding the Gërdec tragedy, as well as cases involving abuse of public funds and money laundering.

Braho is also the prosecutor who investigated and continues to investigate the “Toyota Yaris” case, during which he arrested his former colleague, the head of the Vlorë prosecution office, Aurel Zarka.
