The Democratic Party will hold its next rally this Monday in front of the Prime Minister’s Office, while the police have taken measures to ensure public order. Police announced that due to the protest, which begins at 6:00 p.m., there will be restrictions on several roads.
According to the announcement, some road sections will be closed from 3:00 p.m. until the end of the rally. Vehicle traffic will be blocked on “Dëshmorët e Kombit” Boulevard, from the intersection near the Ministry of Interior to “Mother Teresa” Square, as well as on “Free Ukraine,” “Pope John Paul II,” and “Ismail Qemali” streets.
“Tirana / Based on and in implementation of the Law ‘On Assemblies,’ the Tirana Police have taken all necessary measures to ensure public order and the protection of the rights and freedoms of citizens and participants in today’s rally, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., in front of the Prime Minister’s Office.
In implementation of these measures, and with the aim of ensuring the smooth conduct of the rally, today traffic will be restricted on several road sections, specifically:
From 3:00 p.m. until the end of the rally, vehicle movement will be blocked on ‘Dëshmorët e Kombit’ Boulevard, from the intersection near the Ministry of Interior to ‘Mother Teresa’ Square, as well as on ‘Free Ukraine,’ ‘Pope John Paul II,’ and ‘Ismail Qemali’ streets.
Depending on the course of the rally, traffic restrictions may also be imposed on other road sections. In the event of blockages, to assist citizens traveling in these areas, the Tirana Police have taken measures to divert vehicle traffic to alternative routes.
