Albin Kurti, leader of Vetëvendosje and Prime Minister of Kosovo, on Monday addressed a message of gratitude to all voters of his party following the extraordinary elections held on Sunday, which enabled his movement to form a government without the opposition.
Kurti said that the work will continue and promised increased security and prosperity.
“In ten days of campaigning, tens of thousands of handshakes and thousands of doors were opened to us by you, across hundreds of meetings and rallies everywhere. You welcomed us with warmth and trust, and for this I thank you wholeheartedly. You are many—so many that we do not even know the names of most of you. You committed yourselves without reserve to the victory of VETËVENDOSJE! with partners, to your own victory. Dear compatriots who came from Europe, America, and every corner of the world, who voted by mail or in person the day before yesterday at our embassies and consulates, we are forever grateful for your immeasurable contribution to freedom, statehood, and the nation, as well as for the decisive support that made this victory so magnificent as to be historic. The work continues; security and prosperity will increase. May good fortune be with us,” Kurti wrote.
