Kosovo’s Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, held a meeting this Wednesday with the European Union’s representative for the Kosovo–Serbia Dialogue, Peter Sorensen. During the meeting, Kurti spoke about the December 28 elections, stressing that the election result has produced renewed democratic legitimacy.
According to him, this guarantees political predictability and institutional stability, further strengthening the functioning of Kosovo’s constitutional order. He added that the same cannot be said about the leadership in Serbia.
Kurti expressed Kosovo’s readiness for the full normalization of relations with Serbia and for constructive dialogue in Brussels. He emphasized the essential importance of withdrawing the letter sent by former Prime Minister Brnabić to the European External Action Service (EEAS), the extradition of Milan Radoičić, and the signing of the Basic Agreement and its Implementation Annex.
According to Kurti, these steps represent legal guarantees and good faith for moving forward. He underlined that with the full implementation of the Brussels Basic Agreement and the Ohrid Implementation Annex, the dialogue can deliver sustainable results.
