“A demonstration is planned to take place on Saturday, January 24, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. Protesters plan to gather near the Prime Minister’s Office, located on Dëshmorët e Kombit Boulevard between Mother Teresa Square and Skanderbeg Square. Increased police presence, road closures, and traffic disruptions are expected. The Albanian State Police have announced that protesters may block intersections in various parts of the city of Tirana. U.S. Embassy personnel have been advised to avoid the demonstration. Monitor local media and follow the instructions of local law enforcement authorities for the latest information.
