Bajram Begaj reacted on the social network X regarding the shooting that occurred in British Columbia, expressing his condolences to the families of the victims. Begaj stated that Albania stands in solidarity with the Canadian people, condemning every act of violence and killing.

“I am shocked by the tragic shooting at a school in British Columbia. My deepest condolences go to the families of the victims, and I wish a speedy recovery to the injured. Albania stands in solidarity with the Canadian people and condemns every act of violence that takes human lives,” the President wrote.

Six of the victims were found dead at Tumbler Ridge Secondary School, about 1,150 kilometers northeast of Vancouver, according to reports. Another person died from injuries sustained on the way to the hospital.

Two other individuals were found dead in a nearby residence, and police have directly linked the two incidents, assessing that the same perpetrator initially carried out the killings at the home before heading to the school.

The suspect was also found dead inside the school building after taking his own life. Authorities have stated that they know his identity but are not releasing it at this time.
