The U.S. Embassy in Tirana, through a Facebook post, shared details from meetings held this Wednesday between Mark Tervakoski, Director of the Office for Europe and Asia at the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs of the U.S. Department of State, and several senior representatives in Albania.
The Embassy emphasized that the United States, together with its partners, is committed to fighting criminals who harm citizens, threaten borders, and undermine national security. The post also included photos from the meeting, which was attended by Minister Albana Koçiu.
“Highlighting the strength of the law enforcement partnership between the United States and Albania and the Trump Administration’s relentless fight against international organized crime and narcotics trafficking, Mark Tervakoski, Director of the Office for Europe and Asia at the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs, met with representatives from law enforcement, the justice sector, civil society, and international missions in Albania.
The United States is focused on providing capabilities, tools, and cooperation in Albania and globally to partners who share our commitment to combating criminals who harm our citizens, threaten our borders, and undermine our national security,” the U.S. Embassy wrote.
