The President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, has congratulated Kosovo on the 18th anniversary of its Independence.

In a letter sent to President Vjosa Osmani, Erdoğan expressed Turkey’s support for Kosovo.

“President of the Republic of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, congratulates President Vjosa Osmani on Kosovo’s Independence Day. The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, has received a congratulatory letter from the President of the Republic of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, on the occasion of the 18th anniversary of Independence. In his message, President Erdoğan reaffirmed Turkey’s continued support for Kosovo’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as for the advancement of its position in the international arena. President Erdoğan also emphasized his country’s commitment to peace and stability in the region,” the statement said.

In the letter, Erdoğan described the people of Kosovo as a brotherly people.
