The headquarters of the Democratic Party turned into a festive environment on the occasion of International Women’s Day.

Democratic Party leader Sali Berisha met with Democratic women and girls, expressing his gratitude for the role they play in family and society.

“I wish you a happy celebration on this day, which, as Albana beautifully said, is actually just one of the days of the year when you deserve daily, even hourly respect. I want to express unlimited gratitude to you—to all the women, sisters, and girls of the Democratic Party—who, with their help, courage, and resilience, are the main fiber of the Albanian opposition and of the Democratic Party.

Your contribution, the contribution of Albanian women, is multiple times greater compared to that of men and boys, and this is a reality today.

Today in Albania and around the world, the intellectual superiority of girls and women is definitively confirmed. Today in Albania and around the world, their efficiency is definitively confirmed.

And this has always been the case—their contribution to the development of a society has been about twice as great as that of men, because you face your professional work throughout the day while also dealing with responsibilities in your families, which is a real contribution to society and an essential part of what a society creates and produces,” Berisha said.

Addressing the political situation in the country, he also called on women and girls to join the next national protest of the Democratic Party scheduled for March 12.
