President Begaj Decrees the Dismissal and Appointment of Several Ambassadors

In a press release published on Monday, the Presidency announced that the President of the Republic, Bajram Begaj, has signed decrees concerning the dismissal and appointment of several ambassadors of the Republic of Albania in diplomatic missions across different countries around the world.

As part of these changes, the President decreed the dismissal of:

  • Donika Hoxha from her position as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Bosnia and Herzegovina(non-resident), while she will continue serving as Ambassador to the Republic of Croatia (resident);
  • Dastid Koreshi from his position as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Albania to the Council of Europe in Strasbourg (resident);
  • Eglantina Gjermeni from her position as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the OSCE Missionand International Organizations in Vienna (resident).

The President also decreed the appointment of:

  • Spiro Koçi as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Bosnia and Herzegovina (resident);
  • Florian Nova as Ambassador to the Arab Republic of Egypt (resident), as well as to Syria, Jordan, Libya, Palestine, Lebanon, and Sudan (non-resident);
  • Elvira Isufi as Ambassador to the Kingdom of Sweden (resident), and to Finland, Iceland, and Norway (non-resident);
  • Dastid Koreshi as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the United Nations Office and other international organizations in Geneva (resident);
  • Ermal Muça as Ambassador to Japan (resident), as well as to the Philippines, Indonesia, Singapore, and Malaysia (non-resident), and also to the Republic of Korea (non-resident).
