During a discussion with foreign journalists, Minister Ferit Hoxha stated that Albania has set an ambitious but achievable objective of concluding all European Union negotiation chapters within the next year.
Hoxha emphasized that the achievements made so far in the European integration process were also considered ambitious, recalling that only a few years ago very few believed Albania would be able to open all negotiation clusters within just 11 months.
“We have the ambition to close all chapters next year. For us, this is a realistic ambition. Everything we have achieved so far has been ambitious. Three or four years ago, you would not have found anyone who believed that we could open all negotiation clusters within 11 months. This was not a coincidence. It was not merely a dream or a wish, but something built on the foundation of our work, the clarity of our objectives, our commitment and unwavering determination, nationwide consensus, the country’s preparedness, and the efforts of our team,” Hoxha said.
According to the minister, the progress achieved so far in negotiations with the European Union is the result of consistent work and broad institutional commitment to implementing the reforms required on the path toward membership.
