The Chairman of the Socialist Party Parliamentary Group, Taulant Balla, has welcomed the adoption of the European Parliament’s annual Resolution on Albania, which was approved with 483 votes in favor.
In a public statement, Balla described the decision as a major acknowledgment of Albania’s progress in the European integration process and its path toward membership in the European Union.
“This decision by the direct representatives of European citizens is a significant recognition of Albania’s solid progress on its path toward membership in the European Union,” Balla stated.
He thanked all Members of the European Parliament who voted in support of the resolution, while extending special gratitude to the European Parliament’s Rapporteur for Albania, Andreas Schieder, the Group of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats, as well as Andrey Kovatchev, for their contribution in supporting Albania’s European perspective.
Balla described the vote as a strong signal of support for Albania’s European future and for the country’s objective of joining the European Union by 2030.
