Citizens continued their protests this Friday along the “Dëshmorët e Kombit” Boulevard, marking the 20th consecutive day of demonstrations, with their main demand being the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama.
At 7:00 p.m., as on previous days, protesters first gathered in Skanderbeg Square before marching toward the government building while chanting slogans such as “Rama to prison, Berisha to prison.” Upon arriving, they delivered speeches and later continued marching through Tirana’s main streets for several hours, until midnight.
A day earlier, demonstrators initially marched to Parliament, where lawmakers were voting on the day’s agenda, before proceeding to the Prime Minister’s Office.
Organisers have stated that the protests will continue every day from 7:00 p.m. until their demands are met, including the repeal of laws which, according to them, affect the environment, nature, and protected areas.
