Only a few days left until Albanian citizens head to polls to vote for the new mayors of the 61 municipalities of the country. Political parties have already started their preparations for the closing of the electoral campaign.

The Socialist Party, different to other times, will not close the campaign for the local elections in Tirana. It will be divided in two cities; at first, they will close the campaign in Shkodra and afterwards, Prime Minister Edi Rama will travel to Durrës, to hold the final rally at 19:00.

Meanwhile, the coalition “Together We Win” will hold their final rally in Tirana, in the “Mother Tereza” square at 19:00.

There is no information as to where the Democratic Party led by Enkelejd Alibeaj will close their campaign.

After the events on Friday, Saturday is pre-election silence and political parties are not allowed to broadcast political messages. On Sunday, citizens will head to the ballot boxes. They open as early as 07:00 am and close on the same day at 19:00.
