Accidents in Albania have decreased during the month of November, but the figures for the last 11 months show the opposite.

INSTAT data show that 147 road accidents were recorded in November, from 167 in the same month of 2023. The number of killed and injured was 188, from 212 the previous year. However, for the whole year, the numbers have increased. During the January-November period, 1517 accidents were recorded, an increase of 34%, while a year ago there were 1128 accidents.

Accident mortality was 9.8 for every 100 accidents, up from 15.7 compared to 2023.

Most of the accidents occurred due to the behavior of the drivers, with young people, especially the 25-34 age group, causing the most accidents.

Wednesday is the day when more accidents occurred, with 18.4%, while Monday had the lowest number of accidents.
