The US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, will attend an informal dinner at the Ministerial Council of the member states of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), which will be held in Skopje on November 30 and December 1, said the Minister of Foreigner of North Macedonia, Bujar Osmani.

The participation of a Russian delegation was also announced earlier, where the Foreign Minister of Russia, Sergey Lavrov, will also have to be present. However, there is still no official confirmation of his possible arrival.

On November 24, the Government of North Macedonia made a decision to lift the ban on Russian aircraft flights only for the flight of the Russian delegation.

“Of course we shouldn’t expect everyone to stay for three days. These are important people who will come to a part of the event and then leave. Whether the dates of their stay will coincide, I cannot say, because we are still defining them”, Osmani said at the press conference.

Osmani said earlier that Lavrov had sent him a letter at the beginning of November in which he “showed interest and request to ensure his presence in Skopje”.

A few days ago, Osmani said that the visa requests of the Russian delegation are being processed and as soon as there is information, the public will be informed.

The decision on European Union sanctions does not apply to events of a multilateral nature such as the OSCE, therefore it is a decision of the governments that must bring it, but it has a legal basis in the EU. Now, we and at least one of our neighboring countries must make such a decision. Bulgaria or Greece to enable such a flight”, said the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bujar Osmani, on November 15.
